OK, I am be-bopping around doing some mall laps for exercise when I stop to purchase some water from the Dept. store I am in and I am showing this person my watch when she tells me some Fossil's just went on clearance. So off I go and there it was this watch "o.m.gosh" I said to myself and by the way this picture is horrible compared to the looks of this watch. I immediately fell in love with it and then started reading the specks and thought wow a multinational watch...Swiss parts assembled in Thailand and the band is Chinese; well alright y-then. 5-ATM-WR is good and the band is comfortable. The looks is killer. I have compared it to my Swiss watch and the time difference is negligible. Then there is the 10 year Fossil Warranty. So I say to myself "get this puppy now" so I did and I am one happy watch geek...LOL...The electric blue hands against the silver dial along with the electric blue second rotating dial and bordered accents adds to the awesome design of this watch. Better hurry this critter is moving out! I am adding this next segment after usage. This watch will hold a charge for a while...about a day after wearing for a day...once more a solid feel for the money.

I bought several watches online and typically, I expect the watch to look better than what the picture would show. But this time, it is the other way around. This watch looks quite cheap. The metal and face look to be of poor quality. In fact, I suspect this one may be a counterfeit. This is because I went to a local Macy's store and looked at the Bulova watches sold at the store. Somehow the models at the store show much better quality.

This watch does everything that I thought it would do except the band was too small for my wrist. I wish that Timex or whatever company it is, would have the size on the package. Necklaces all have how many inches. Why not the watches? So I get a new watch and the first thing that I have to do was go buy a watch band. This is not quite the way that you want to get a watch.

This watch reminds me of the M & Co watch that has been priced at $200, except for the thinness of the M & Co watch, which I loved, this watch adds a second hand and a light for the face. The band is leather but the "graining" of the band seems to be painted on. As soon as the weather gets warm this graining wears off as the artifice it is. But, you can't beat it for price.

I once considered Timex watches to be the only reliable, yet affordable, brand on the market. I need to revise that opinion.



I've purchased 3 Timex watches in as many years. The last 2 were this model, which I purchased at a "buy one, get the other at half off" sale..



I simply prefer analog watches to digital and this simple, unadorned style has an uncluttered, easy to read face, as well as the battery-sapping, but useful, Indiglo feature for viewing in low light.



When the first of this model stopped working, I had the battery replaced. Unfortunately, this needs to be done by a jeweler, as the back cover can be removed, but requires a jeweler's press to put it back on.



A new battery failed to solve the problem. i returned the watch to Timex for repair under warranty. This repair was effective for only a few months before the watch stopped working again. Another new battery didn't solve the problem.



"C'est la vie," I thought, and simply began using the second watch that I'd purchased. This latest one has worked for 6 months before dying. Again, a new battery installed by a jeweler has failed to work.



I've never tested the water resistance recommendations by wearing it while showering or submerging it.



Between the 2 watches, I've spent over 40 dollars in battery replacements and shipping in less than 2 years to discover that the problem was with the watches.

I'm very happy with my watch...got it about a month ago from Amazon. It's very functional, not super stylish, but attractive. The indiglo lighted dial is really nice and the numbers very easy to read. I didn't have as much trouble reading the date numbers as some other reviewers did, but I agree they could have been just a little bigger. Was super happy with the price. The same watch on another store site (sounds like "jaycee pemmys" ;-) was twenty dollars more.

I bought this watch a little over a year ago now, and still love it as much as the first day I got it. It is a large watch, which I prefer, and very striking looking. Several people have commented on it. The photos don't do it justice.



It is very physically sturdy, it still looks practically brand new despite wearing it every day. It is also quite water resistant, I never take it off to wash my hands and have never had a problem with it. Most important, if - like me - non-digital watches have a tendency to stop working when you have been wearing them for a while, this one is still working perfectly. It also seems keep time well.



I highly recommend this watch, for both looks and performance.

What temperature?

What was Casio thinking? The sensor for the thermometer appears to be on the back of the watch, the part touching the skin! I don't want to know my skin temperature, I want to know the air temperature! You have to take the watch off for 30 minutes to do that. Are you kidding Casio? The rest of the watch is fine, the compass works good, but as far as 1/2 the special features being the thermometer the watch is only 1/2 good!

I found this watch to be perfect for my needs. The compass is accurate and easy to use. The set instructions are user friendly. Of course, the thermometer is way off due to being on my wrist. You have to take if off and leave it for 15 minutes to get an accurate reading. the watchband is comfortable and easy to use.

Ok all my life I have been the one to get the cheapest little 4 dollar digital watch and stick with it until it breaks than get another..

For the first time in my life I decided to splurge... and get the 50 dollar watch..

The compass works quite well, I thought it would have N E S W and an arrow pointing to whatever it's closer too, no it tells u exactly where north is and gives a degree, I haven't gotten out another compass to see how accurate it is, but it works for me.

Only complaint is the light, it stays on for 1 second. No more or less and holding the button doesn't keep it on, if you're reading the date at night or trying to see anything better speed read..

Other than that I love the band, feels and looks like it cost more than 2 dollars..

The thermometer is crap, inside a room with a temp around 80 degrees it reads 94.. also outside (deployed to Iraq) it's about 120+ and it reads 94 to 98... so it's reading the temp of my skin.



Not bad at all just wish the light either stayed on longer or you could change the timer on it.

Also the 4 alarms are a God-send for my current schedule.

Bought this watch for my brother so he could use it at work. The compass is perfect. Luckily he never uses the thermometer. Like most of the reviews it leaves a little to be desired. "The watch looks to good for using at work", my brother said, but he has and it has saved him alot of time mapping and finding things for his work. I have one similar to it, same brand. I think it is a great time piece and the compass is really handy. Buy one you will be happy.

I love the watch, but wish it was easier to see face. There is not enough contrast. I do love the auto light feature that come on when you lift your arm up to see the time. pretty easy to figure out and use all funtions, just needed manual for a few items. Very light. An excellent value

This watch has more functions than I can possibly use. You can read the product description to see all that information. I merely wanted a watch that is durable, functional, well-built, stylish (at least to me) and value-priced. This watch meets all those needs.



There is an indiglo backlight with button placed squarely on the front of the watch (just below the dial) for easy access. You have some options to decide what information gets shown on the main display. I like being able to see the time, date, and day of week (I always seem to lose track of that). I've used the stopwatch/lap timer feature a few times. I don't take it with me when I run, but with a 50-lap timer, it could be useful if my primary running watch ever breaks. Another feature that is really nice is the ability to turn off the beep. Most digital watches beep when you switch between modes. I have a $10 Casio that does this and you can't turn the beep off on that one. So I am very thankful this watch allows you to disable the beep.



I was a little bit worried about the size of the watch. It's a little larger than most watches I wear and I was worried it might look too big on my wrist, but it looks fine. I especially like the reverse display (black dial with light numbers). I wish they made more watches that way. I'm not exactly sure how long the watch band will hold up over time. I've only had it a couple months, but the band feels like average quality, meaning it will likely break well before the watch stops working. But other than that the build quality feels solid and if it performs as well as my other (non G-Shock) Casios then I expect it to last for a long time.



A few minor gripes - the watch band is excessively long. I have small/average wrists so the band wraps almost completely around to the other side and sticks out a little bit too much. The buttons are also recessed into the case a little bit more than I would like, but that's not a huge deal. There are about 6 different modes, and you have to cycle through all 6 of them to get to any one of them. It would be nice to be able to set one mode as shortcut and be able to toggle back and forth between that and the main display instead of having to go through all 6 every time.



This watch is pretty inexpensive for a G-Shock, yet it offers most of the same functionality as models costing 3x-4x more. I'm satisfied that it's well worth the money.

This is a great looking watch. Some people have said that they have had trouble reading it under high light conditions but I have had no such problems. It has a whole lot of features that I will probably never use. But it nice to know that I can show them off.

Since I've joined the Army, I have always worn a Casio G-Shock. They hold up well, particularly in the harsh climate and environment of Iraq. This watch is rugged and has alot of useful features. In particular, the dual time-zone is a handy way of keeping track of what time it is back in the States. I'm not sure that I'm a fan of the black background and white numbers though, because in low light it becomes a little hard to read. Otherwise, like all the other G-Shocks I've had, this does what it is suppose to in rough environments.

I am not a watch Guru, however; I can tell you that the watch is durable, awesome/agressive looking, the many alarms feature is great (alm 1 -alm 4, a hourly alrm, and a snooze alarm) and it gives you the control to set the alarms for daily, week days, weekend, or once, the dual time feature in the same area so you don't have to swap back and forth to see the other time zone, the date M/D/Y display is great and you can switch from week count down to dual time + date or Y/M/D, the stop watch is accurate to the thausand of a second, the dual timer allows me to set one up for 45 seconds and the second for 15 seconds allowing me to time myself between working out and breaks! the world time is another cool feature specially if you travel a lot or have family/friends around the world! Overall it is awesome and as usual Amazon. com has the best prices!
